We hope that your child is enjoying scouts and that the programme continues to offer a wide range of activities to suit all. If you have a skill or a contact that we may be able to use to provide a fun evening for the Scouts please let us know. Suggestions for the programme are gratefully received so please speak to any of the leader team. We would like to take this opportunity to let you know about our planned activities for this year.
18th March - Night Owl - one of the best events of the year.
Jumble Sale is Saturday 18th March. We ask for parent help to collect jumble around the village of Bromham on Friday 17th March at 7pm. Parent help is always appreciated on the day either in the morning getting the sale set up or during the sale - if you have never been - it is quite an experience!!
The St George's Day Parade is on Sunday 23rd April. This is the one event of the year that all Scouts are expected to attend. Please try to keep your diary free to allow for this. It is a great showcase for Scouting in Bedford and a rare opportunity for the Scouts to take part in a parade through the town.
This year the St George's day event is being refreshed with a focus on the young people. The event will be fun and an event not to be missed. Further details to follow nearer the time.
May 12th - 14th is the District Scout Group Activity Camp. This is a weekend where Scouts camp at Great Barford and there are many activities during the day mostly on the water.
17th May - AGM
White water kayaking is the weekend of 24th and 25th June.
Sunday July 9th is Bromham Show and we will again be supporting this local event. It's an opportunity to raise the profile of Scouting in Bromham and also raise money for group funds. Nearer the time we will be asking for new or unused items for tombola prizes.
